About Us
At Living A Dream, our approach is person-centered and built around belonging. We empower our participants to dream big, grow confidently, and engage fully with their community through meaningful activities, social opportunities, and hands-on learning.
Our core values guide everything we do:
Compassion: We treat every participant with kindness, patience, and understanding.
Respect: Every voice matters, and individuality is honored.
Empowerment: We help people build independence, confidence, and life skills.
Community: We believe that together, we can achieve more.
Tashua Fortson is the owner of Living A Dream Adult Day Program. Her background includes nearly 20 years in home care focused on seniors, followed by 10 years of service at a large institution.
Tashua’s work is rooted in compassion, dignity, and individualized support. She is especially passionate about serving adults with developmental disabilities and creating a setting where participants feel seen, respected, and supported.
At Living A Dream, her goal is to provide care in a welcoming, home-like environment rather than an institutional one. She focuses on meaningful engagement, community involvement, and programming that reflects each participant’s needs and strengths.
She also brings a personal caregiver perspective to her work and is supported by her daughter, who is a registered nurse.
We are proudly DODD Certified, meeting the highest standards for developmental disability care across Summit, Cuyahoga East & West, Geauga, Portage, Lake, and Medina counties.
From engaging activities and community outings to peer mentorship and wellness programs, Living A Dream offers more than daily support—it offers a place to belong.
Because when care is built on compassion, everyone can live their dream.
